Abstract
This research was done in an attempt to assess the occurrence of the burnout syndrome among nurses working in different inpatient units~ namely in General lCU, special surgical units, the operative theater, the kidney dialysis unit, post operative lCU, and the bum unit. The nurses proved to suffer from burnout because nursing as an occupation is stressful, regardless where the nurses work. Therefore the aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and burnout among nurses working in different inpatient units, and also to assess the degree of burnout and job satisfaction among different units.
