Abstract
The nutritional support plays an important role in treatment of the burned patients. The aim of our study was to evaluate the impact of guided nutritional support on the hospitalized burned patient, included 50 burned patients admitted to the Bums Unit, of Assiut University Hospital, there were classified into two equal groups from both sexes, their ages ranged from 20 -40 year and the T.B.S.A. Burned ranged from 20 -40 % . The first group received the ordinary hospital diet only (control group) . The second group (study group) received the ordinary hospital diet in addition to nutritional supportive formula which included natural contents such as row egg , yogurt , banana and sugar . This formula is not expensive, freshly prepared and it is available at any time. We determined the daily caloric requirement.
