Abstract

integrated design process is encouraged or required by a number of green building
certifications like (LEED, BREEAM, CASBEE, etc.) but many design and construction
professionals have very limited knowledge about how to practice integrated design.
This paper presents practical steps to design integrated through four major components namely
communication between the team work from all disciplines, the whole building concept,
integrated design sequence and the role of all participants in project, and application these steps
on a number of ecological high rise buildings to see The compatibility of these steps on these
buildings to make the environment less polluted, and the preservation of non-renewable energy
resources and the exploitation of renewable energy resources, the greatest advantage possible to
reduce the loads of the building. To reach finally the correct integrated design process which we
should follow to get the ecological integrated design process.
This process would help architects to design easily and avoid mistakes in design that could waste
time, effort, non-utilization of energy and waste. These obstacles that could disrupt the process of
work, but if this done before working on the project the job will complete in record time.
