Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ischemic preconditioning on the expression level of the mitochondrial proteins to figure out the cardioprotective effect of ischemic preconditioning during ischemia/reperfusion (IR) injury. from the obtained data, there was general attenuation of the deleterious effect induced by ischemia/reperfusion treatment observed in of ischemic preconditioning treated cardiomyocytes with considerable non-significant alterations comparable with the control group. Ischemic preconditioning can provide a cardioprotective effect during IR injury and the findings can be used as drug targets for ischemic heart diseases therapy and prevention during coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.
