Abstract

A total of 231 samples obtained from skin lesions of diseased buffaloes were subjected to bacteriological examination. Diseased buffaloes were from El- Menofeya, EI- Qalyubia and El-Fayoum govemorates. The morbidity rate of OSD was 47.4% while, the mortality rate was 1.43%. Identification of isolates during the present study showed the recovery of different types of bacteria either as single or mixed bacterial isolates. The percent of isolation rate of C. pseudotuberculosis in separate manner were 78.19%, while was 17.55% when C. pseudotuberculosis combined with S. aureus and 1.06% when C. pseudotuberculosis combined with S. pyogens. Histopathological examination and Electron-microscopy study were carried out on skin biopsies skin tissue biopsies diseased buffaloes which suffered from skin lesions resulting presence of stages of inflammations, abscess, ulceration and necrosis.Pr.R study were conducted to ensure the presence of PLD gene in the isolated C. pseudotuberculosis. We confirm that C. pseudotuberculosis serotype II produce PLD toxin and some individuals produce diphtheria-like toxin (DT). Antibodies produce by diseased buffaloes were detected serologically.
