Abstract This Egyptian risk factors survey of ACS was designed as a part of national survey to collect prospective information across Egypt to study the risk factor profile and provide data base for the initiation of national guideline and appropriate prevention and management protocol. This study was conducted in Al-Sharkia Governorate on 112 patients with ACS. The most frequent age group in the studied patients was age between 55-59 years (26.8%), followed by age between 65-69 years (19.6%). The mean age of the patients was 58.8 ± 7.5 years. Females were more frequent than males in the studied patients (58.9% vs. 41.1%, respectively). The patients who resided in the rural areas were more frequent than the patients who resided in the urban areas (79.5% vs. 20.5%, respectively). The non-employed patients were more frequent than employed patients (59.8% vs. 40.2%, respectively). |
