Abstract
The main objectives of this study were :
1-To study the genetic components of yield related characters in six parental diallel crosses of barley genotypes.
2-To detect the best tolerant variety in field (Giza and El-Hamoul) and sand culture experiments at different levels of salinity as compared with control.
3-To develop biochemical genetic markers associated with salt tolerance in barley using SDS-PAGE.
4-To determine some molecular markers associated with salt tolerance by RAPD.
