Dysfunction of the gastrointestinal system including dysphagia, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome were common complaints of the elderly. Moreover, the incidence of gastric and duodenal ulcers and their bleeding complications increased in old-aged populations worldwide. Therefore the present study was performed to demonstrate the changes associated with aging in the different parts of the stomach of senile albino rats.
