Abstract Fever is one of the problems most frequently encountered by parents when caring for their children. Also, the fluid balance may be’disturbed and the rate of water loss increased Moreover, prolonged febrile seizures may cause severe brain damage The reaction of themother towards afebrile child varies with the social and cultural patterns of the community. Illiteracy, faulty traditional beliefs and practices of mothers are important underlying factors affecting child morbidity and improper management of the disease. |
