Abstract SUMRY The present investigation was carried out in Assiut rsity Expermonta1 Farm during 1980 and 1981 seasons tudy the effect of salinity and plant growth regulators he &ner€ence percentage, growth, yield and chemical osition of two soybean cultivars, i,e. Clark (early e) and ragg (late mature). Four levels of HaUl were lied to the soil; i.e. 0.00, 0.05, 0.10 and 0.20%, on weight basis. Gibbereflic acid (GA) and mdcl Butyric id (ISA) wore applied at a conoentrations of 0, 50 and ppm; plants were foliar sprayed after 25 and 35 days om sowing. Plants were seauipled 30, 40 and 50 days from wing. The results obtained could be tinmarited as follows:— - nergence percentage of Clark see411e were sIgnif icantly higher than Bragg cultivar. Thcreaaing salinity tended to reduce Fnergence percentage in both seasons. I!— Growth: The results revealed, in enoral, that Bragg plnnts were taller than Clark durine the growth period ee well as at harvest in both seasons. On the other hand, root lengt, aM dry weights of roots and shoots were higher in Clark than Bragg in both seasons at early stages of srowth |
