Abstract The present investigation was carried out at the Exp— mental Pann of the Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut Univerty during 1980/81 and 1981/82 seasons to study the effect f moisture stress, phosphorus fertilization and cutting fluiber on growth, forage and seed yield and chemical composition borseem, (Trifolium alexandrinurn. Is.) c.v. Miskawi. A split— lit plot design was used with four replication. The moist— e levels were 80, 60 and 40% of the field capacity, cutting ber were two, three and four cuts before seed banesting d phosphorus fertilization levels were 0.00, 38.5 and 77.0 P205/Ped, as calcium euperphosphate (15 .5% 2205). The results obtained could be summarized as follows: Growth, forage and aeed14: 1- Plant_hifl (cm): a It wss oseed, in general, that increasing moisture stress decreased plant height in both seasons while, increasing cutting number increased plant height. On the other hands the application of phosphorus fertilization haa no significant effect on plant height; however, 38.5 kg. P205/Fed, gave the tallest plants in both seasons. 2.- Number of stej erare_j cm2) Increasing irrigation frequency1 cutting ninber and phosphorus fertilitation significantly increased |
