Abstract Behavior is the way we react; it may also mean how a person’s actions fit society’s ideas of right and wrong (Bird et al. 2002). Behavior may be affected during childhood by heredity, environment, learning conditions and positive reinforcements. Like the physical growth, behavior too is strongly influenced by the early conditions the child exposed to in the early years of life (Hamouda 2001). Conduct disorders (CD) are a group of behavioral disorders that appear during childhood and adolescence. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV), conduct disorders may be diagnosed when a child seriously misbehaves with aggressive behavior against people, animals or a property. Conduct disorder is a repetitive and persistent pattern of behavior in which the basic rights of others, or major rules and values of society are violated (American Psychiatric Association 1999). |
