The present study was carried out to investigate the [sost important problems in sugar cane production as well as the interoropped crops at Esna ounty1 Qena goveruorate.
In additions The study detex!uines the optirdun methods to be used in raising the production of sugar cane nd intereropped crops in order to znaximizet agricultural net incomes The present work renaled the following conclusions:
1- Qena is the first governorate in Egypt intenns of sQger production which is Øuê primarily to the large cultivated area of sugar cane and not tQ high average yield per fôdden.
2— it was observed clearly from the present study that shor.tage of labours,. low fertilization rate recoaninanded by the ministry of agriculture, transportation and unfair sugar analysis as determinunt of farm gate price are the four most important problems facing sugar cane production and zuaiktt$ng nz4or toac co:iOitjons
