Undoubtedly, Egypt has perforced to remam largely an agricultural country by the basic feature of its physical and socio¬economic conditions. Recent steps toward industrialization have no doubt reduced the reliance of national economy on single source of agriculture which, indeed, will remain occupying a vital position within the structure of Egypt’s national economy. In many respects the important role of agriculture in Egyptian economy, does not mean that agriculture is an advanced sector, it is still suffering from numerous problems, which are hindering its development and modernization.
In connection with the above mentioned, the main task of this

research work is conducted to determine and examine the basic
problems of agriculture in Egypt. At the same time, this study is an attempt to show how to address the basic problems of Egyptian agriculture in the light of socio-economic goals and benefits of agricultural cooperation, and how to bring agricultural sector itself into harmony with the recent progress and up-to-date scientific and technical revolution.
To achieve this objective, the study is composed of two chapters.
The first concerns itself with the main features of Egyptian agriculture, as well as, showing the basic difficulties and defects facing its development. The second chapter discusses and treats the essential .
