المستخلص
The aim of this research has been to evaluate the educati¬onal effects of the extension programme for growing Elephant -
grass ( Alaf EI-Fil ) in Assiut Governorate and to know the
reasons for not accerting it by farmers in this governorate.
In order to achieve this some other objectives were determined to be achieved. These were main by to know: changes in farmer’s knowledge and attitudes towards this crop and the differences hetween Alaf EI-Fil growers and other farmers in this respect; Socio-economic and communication characteristics and advantages and disadvantages perceived by farmers of this crop and reasons for not acceptinq it.
