Abstract This rudy wa done to evaluate the prevalence of elevated level of lL ~ 6 am ng patients with unstable angina an I it orrelariou with. hort term progno: is, The studied population comprised 50 patients, they were cla: ified into 2 groups. group I compri ed patient with normal level IL-6 and group U comprised patients with High level ITA. AU patients were subjected 10 complet medical hislory. full clinical examination, laboratory investigations in lud ( RP, PK , CKAB. Troponin & rum IL--6 at admi sion & discharg as well n, E’ am] coronary angiography within two weeks of admission. In thi rudy. there were 3 Imales (62%) and 19 female’ (38 % their age ranged from 9 10 70 year. with IImean age of f 6 ± 12 year . Thirty five patients [70%] were makers. 29 patients [-S%) had dy Iipidemia. ”1 patient [62%] had diabete mellitus, 19 patients [ 8%J had hypertension, 26 patients [:’2 0] had Obe: ity .and 14 (28%) had +family history of coronary artery di ease (Tab. 3 & Fig. 8).
