Abstract
The study was carried out for bacteriological and pathological examination of pneumonic lungs of lambs. The examined lungs were collected from a total number of 70 lambs during the period from January, 2004 to February, 2005.
The gross lesions of the affected lungs were recorded followed by collection of tissue specimens.
• Macroscopic appearance

Most of the lungs appeared congested, dark red in colour, firm in consistency and on cut section, bloody fluid exuded from it. In some cases found minute petecheal

haemorrhages appeared on the dorsal surface of the anterior lobe. Other cases showed multiple abscesses within the lung parenchyma.
\ • Microscopic appearance
