This study aims at identifying some hyperactive children in some kindergartens in Assiut City, preparing a suggested program based on empathy to alleviate hyperactivity, and measuring the effect of the program on alleviating hyperactivity for preschool children in Assiut City.
The psychometric study is limited to the selected sample which consists of 79 children (54 males and 25 females).
The tools are limited to the ones used in this study as following:
- Hyperactivity Scale - Mother Rating (Prepared by the researcher).
- Hyperactivity Scale - Teacher Rating (Prepared by the researcher).
- Program Based on Empathy in Alleviating Hyperactivity Symptoms of Preschool Children.
Results of the Study:
1. There are statistically significant differences between the mean of the scores of the treatment group before and after administering the Mother Rating Scale.
2. There are statistically significant differences between the mean of the scores of the treatment group before and after administering the Teacher Rating Scale.
3. There are no statistically significant differences between the mean of the scores of the treatment group before and after administering the program directly and after two months of administering the Mother Rating Scale.
4. There are no statistically significant differences between the mean of the scores of the treatment group before and after administering the program directly and after two months of administering the Teacher Rating Scale.
