The study aimed to determine the relationship between the Career related future anxiety and the religious orientation , to determine the extent of variation in degree of Career related future anxiety when gender ( male / female), Year of study (first year / fourth year) and specialization (literary sections / scientific sections) are considered; to identity the Clinical & Personal disorder & Social Psychological Problems of students , who experience Career related future anxiety and finally to test the effectiveness of a religion , Psychological counseling based program in reducing Assuit Faculty of education students’ Career related future anxiety.
The study sample consisted of 466 first and fourth year Assuit faculty of education students from both genders. Religion Orientation Scale (ROS) (Version A, Elbheary & Demerdash, 1988) , Adolescent Psychopathology Scale (APS) (Elbheary, in press) , Career Related Future Anxiety Scale (CRFAS) (by the researcher) and Religion counselling program for reducing Career related future anxiety (by the researcher) were administered on the Experimental sample Which consists of (14) students ( 5 male / 9 female ) in the main study .
The study results showed a positive correlations coefficient between religious orientation (extrinsic and intrinsic) and Career related future anxiety. The degree of Career related Future anxiety was also found to vary when gender, year of study, and specialization were considered in favor of females, first year students and Scientific specializations respectively. Some Clinical , and Personal disorder and Social Psychological Problems for students with Career related future anxiety were identified. The religion psychological based counseling program proved to be effective in reducing the Career related future anxiety and students showed maintenance of counseling gains after a month follow up.
