Abstract

S U M M A R y
In this investigation, FMD virus isolated from wild rots (0/rat strain) ,showed lower virulence for cattle end sheep, than the locally isolated virus (Oi/2/72) from cattle in spike of the identity of antigenic relationship of both strains.
Experimentally infected cattle end sheep by FMD virus (O/rst strain) showed milder clinical signs then animals infected by Oi/2/72 strain of FMD virus.
Serum neutralizing antibody titres of cattle and sheep infected by 0/ret strain were lower then animals infected by 0i/2/72 strain of FMD virus.
Virus isolated from blood of cattle and sheep infected by 0/ret strain vas of lawer in titre then animals infected by 01/2/72 strain of FMD virus.
Study the antigenic relationship revealed that 0/rot strain vas antigenically related to Oi/2/72 strain of FMD virus, although 01/2/72 strain of FMT) wo dominating the 0/rat strain.
