Abstract SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION This study was performed on 245 diarrhoeic sheep and goats (170 diarrhoeic sheep and 75 diarrhoelc goats) and 95 clinically healthy sheep and goats (used as control). All animals were throughly clinically investigated. Then from each animal two feecal and two blood samples were obtained from each animal. The faecal samples were used for bacteriological as well as parasitological studies. The blood samples were used for haematological and serobiochemi— Cal investigations. Any sheep or goat suffering from diarrhoea died during the course of these studies was exposed to post mortem as well as histopathological studies. According to the age, sex and the etiology of diarrhoea all diarrhoeie sheep were classified into nine groups: 1— Lanbs suffering from enteritis due to E. coil infection. 2— Lambs suffering from enteritis due to Coccidia infection. 3— Lambs suffering from enteritis due to IL ccli & Coccidia infection. 4- Lambs suffering from enteritis due to Proteus infection. 5— Larabs suffering from enteritis due to Klebsiella infection. 6— Lambs suffering from enteritis due to mixed bacterial Infection, including E. coli, Proteus and K1ebsiel1a 7— Adult ewes suffering from diarrhoea due to Fasciola infection, 8— Adut ewes suffering from diarrhoea due to mixed parasitic infection. 9— Adult rams suffering from dietectic diarrhoea. |
