Abstract
The western mediterranean coastal region of Egypt lies between isohytes 180mm Alexandria and 100mm sallum it has a long history of intensive land use the vegetation being gradually deteriorated by overgrazing uprooting ploughing and other practices as quarrying urgently requires a sound management policy. the present study aims at: a surveying the vegetation in the selected rangeland and animal be haviour in different habitats .
