Abstract The amis of the thesis is stduding the optical properties of nylon 66 (ICI polyamide carded and combed top) fibers by using interferometer methods before and after heating to different temperatures and time duration as well as socking in water and detergent (X-tra). The study reached serveral conclusion, including : 1. A new mathematical model for multiple-beam fizeau friges crossing quasi-D-shaped fibre have been derived. 2. Numerical calculation for two different rotation angles have been presented. 3. The experimental validation for the derived equations has been introduced. 4. Good agreement between the theoretical and experimental results is given. This work is very useful for quality control for producing such fibers. 5. the adjustment of the three basic transmission parameters refrative indices of core and cladding and core diameter is major of importance. 6. theplacement of the core can tailor as used to micron accuracies. |
