Abstract
To study the effect of BCG vaccine on the modulation of the immune mechanisms involved in mammary tumor growth as well as its effect on the morphology of the expected growth and the use of histochemical indices as differential parameters between preneoplastic, benign and malignant changes in mammary tumorigenesis, the following experiment was designed:
I- included 25 rats. Every rat received a single 1 ml dose of 20 mg DMBA in corn oil.
II— BOG—treated. rou : included 25 rats. Every rat was vaccinated with 0.3 mg BOG in 0.1 ml dose intra— dermally 15 days prior to carcinogen administration.
III— Control -rous : included — 5 rats receiving corn oil alone. — 5 rats receiving BOG alone. — 5 untreated normal rats.
