Abstract The presented work is mainly experimental and bisided,tomical and surgical. Tue anatomical study in the present work was conducted on udder of adult buffaloes collected from the slaughter ses at the province of Lssiut. The surgical study was carried out on 38 cows and buffa— oes. These animals were subjected to different surgical rocedures including, different types of udder end teat wounds, pen teat surgery, partial and oomplete amputation of the eat, and partial and complete amputation of the mammary gland. The anatomical study of the vascularization of the udder a buffaloes revealed that the course and distribution of the rteries and viens mainly like that of sffiall ruminants and dislike that of the cow. The results of the surgical study in the present work si be summarised as follows: 1— Recent superficial wounds involving on the skin of the eat and udder usually healed without any complication and an hot be considered a problem in mammary gland surgery. 2— Mere cleaning and the application of the common ressins are fairly efficIt for the treatment of old sujerficial wouads of the teat and udder. |
