Abstract The present study was carried out on the testes of control, hCG-and testosterone-treated Fayoumi chick embryos from 9 to 21 days of incubation. A correlative study between light and electron microscopical observations was performed to observe the responsive changes that might occur in the testicular morphology after hCG or testosterone administration. In the present study the biometrical data revealed that the testicular growth in the examined chick embryos was not linear, but showed a progressive faster increase between 13 and 19 days of incubation, while before and after these ages, the rate of growth was relatively slower. |
