Abstract
, this study aimed at Construct an educational nursing program for schizophrenic patients; induce positive changes in the schizophrenic patients as regard coping strategies, insight, and knowledge about medication; and assess the impact of the constructed nursing educational program for the chronic schizophrenic male patients on their coping strategies, insight, and knowledge about medication. A quasi-experimental design was utilized in this study. The study was conducted in the in-patient male departments of El-Abassia Mental Hospital. A total of 40 male schizophrenic patients (experimental group [20] and control group [20]) were selected randomly to participate in the study. Four tools were used for data collection, socio-demographic/ medical data sheet, Assessment of insight.
