Abstract
Review of the different methods of management of intertrochanteric fracture femur.Intertrochanteric fractures occur in the transitional bone between the femoral neck and the femoral shaft. These fractures may involve both the greater and the lesser trochanters.Vascular supply of the proximal end of the femur is mainly through extracapsular arterial ring and their ascending cervical branches and the artery of ligamentum ters.The especially abnormal bone quality in the upper end of the femur play the major role in the high rate of trochanteric fracture in elderly patient even with minimal trauma.Through along period of time many trochanteric fracture classification were done1.
