Abstract The present study was done on 79 children of both whose age ranged between 5 - 12 years were included classified as followed : Control group included 15 nonnal children. Group 1 (patients with Schistosoma haematob~um) included 11 children. Group 2 (patients with Schistosoma mansoni) included 7 children. Group 3 (patients with mixed bilharzial infection) included 9 children. Group 4 (patients with bilharzial hepatosplenomegnly) included 30 children. Group 5 (patients with hepatosplenomegaly and ascitis) iftOluded 7 children. All these children were fully clinically examined and all of them the following investigations were done : Urine and stool analysis. Complete blood picture. Liver function tests including serum nroteins, serum albumin, SGPT, alkaline phosphatase and serum bilirubin. |
