Abstract The aims of this study were as follow : 1-To monitor the development period of the susceptible biotype of E. crusgalli (barnyardgrass) to evolve resistance against bispyribac-sodium and fenoxaprop –P- ethyl herbicides using a whole plant bioassay. 2- To monitor the development period of the susceptible strain of E. colonum (jungleerice) to evolve resistance against bispyribac-sodium and fenoxaprop –P- ethyl herbicides using a whole plant bioassay. 3-To characterize the resistance mechanism of E. crusgalli (barnyardgrass) and E. colonum (jungleerice) against bispyribac-sodium by evaluating the effects of tested herbicide on acetolactate synthase (ALSase) activity and by the analysis of protein in the resistant and susceptible plants of the tested weeds. 4- To characterize the resistance mechanism of E. crusgalli (barnyardgrass) and E. colonum (jungleerice) against fenoxaprop –P- ethyl by protein analysis of the resistant and susceptible biotypes of tested weeds. |
