Abstract
Vasectomy is one of the commonly done operation in the adult male as a means of birth control or may be done accidentally as aside effect of some surgical procedure. In the first group: a- Gross morphological changes: fibrosis and decrease in size and weight of the ligated testis was noticed specially in the group examined after one and two month. Granuloma was formed in 9 out of 25 rats and its size varied between 0.5:1 cm b- Histological changes: gradual decrease of the S.T. diameter and thickening of tunica albuginea and lamina propria due to fibrosis was noticed. In addition wide aspermatic lumen of S.T specially in cases examined after 2 month and decrease of spermatogenic cell layers was observed, the lesion was focal. Sertoli cells, lydig cells and some spermatogenic cell layers still present in some S.T. few giant cells appeared specially in the group examined after 2 month.
