Wheat (triticum aestivum L.) is one of the most important food crops in Egypt and in the world. It is of importance to protect the crop from only loss by controlling the diseases and pests which attack the plants. Stripe rust is one of the most dangerous disease which affect the grain production of the susceptible genotypes. To avoid the significant loss in grain yield, the dynamic of virulence of the causal organism through the identifications of the different physiologic races and particularly the new ones to be used in breeding program for rust resistance. Therefore, the course of this study was started by this point. Sixty and seventy infected samples with stripe rust were collected from different locations of Egypt in 2005/06 and 2006/07, respectively, from different wheat genotypes. Isolation, purification and race identification of the physiologic races revealed the presence of 11 and 13 races 2005/06 and 2006/07, respectively.
