Abstract Staphylococci and Streptococci are frequently associated with human diseases. They cause several infections as skin infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections and eye infections. This study was carried out to study the prevalence of staphylococcal and Streptococcal infections in different hospital at Minia governorate, to evaluate the antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of the isolated strains against different antimicrobial agents, to know if resistance occurs due to the presence of plasmids or enzymes, and to study the possibility of the transfer of resistance from resistant strains to sensitive strains. In this study , 362 different clinical strains were isolated and identified from 405 patients suffering from different infections. Out of the 405 patients , 120 were suffering from skin infections, 229 were suffering from respiratory tract infections, 31 were suffering from urinary tract infections and 25 were suffering from eye infections. |
