Abstract The aim of the work is to evaluate the changes of blood flow in ovarian and uterine arteries and the changes of hormonal profile before and after laparoscopic ovarian electrocautery in patients with polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD). In conclusion: Ovarian electrocautery for treatment of PCOD is an effective, simple technique with minimal possibility to develop pelvic adhesions and more favourable pregnancy outcome. It seems that electrocautery render the ovaries more responsive to clomphine therapy. Beside it is in itself a diagnostic tool to exclude other causes of infertility. Ovarian electrocautery reverse the vascular errors in the utero-ovarian circulation, it may be responsible for the beneficial; outcome after ovarian electrocautery. |
