Abstract

Aim of the work
The aim of this study is to assess the response of mite allergic asthmatic to specific hypo sensitization therapy.
Conclusion
Serum DP-IgE and DF-IgE were highly significantly (p < 0.005) reduced after eight weeks of specific immuno-therapy schedule.
A very highly significant correlation (p < 0.001) between FEV 1% and IgE specific, also the same between IgE specific but no high correlation between score of skin sensitivity test and the serum levels of specific IgE were observed in this study.
This study demonstrated that a dermatophagoides standardized extract administrated by a short specific immunotherapy schedule elicited a rapid and significant protection of the allergic asthmatic patients.
