Abstract
The aim of this work is directed towards demonstration of the state of the cell mediated immunity of rhinoscleroma and the possible changes present in the levels of three important trace elements affecting such immunity and it will try to find any correlations between them, also, the changes which may occur in the cells in rhinoscleroma will be demonstrated under the electron microscope.
Conclusions:
We conclude that all scleroma patients and their contacts should be investigated for their cell mediated immunity and also it is better to be investigated for the trace elements levels especially when immune deficit is detected.
And we are asking about the role of the nutritional aspect in treatment of scleroma regarding to zinc and iron and the benefit of addition of zinc and iron to the routine treatment of scleroma and prophylaxis from any immune deficiency in their contacts, but this is guarded, as we think, by knowing the definite cause of the disturbance in the trace elements levels which is in need for further investigations.
