Abstract
The present work is adetailed study of the petrography,mineralogy and geochemistry of the different types of chromite ores and the associated country rocks at Abu Dahr and El Galala areas, Eastern Desert.
The field work shows that,the main types of rocks recognized in the studied areas ara 1-metasediments and metavolcanics rocks, forming an incomplete circular structure surrounding the form of hills of low to moderate hight.
2-Serpentinites,cover alarge area in G.Abu Daher,Specially tothe west of Abu Dahr area,where they form the high and steep mountain (1130cm) trending NE-SW,While in El Galala they form an ill-defined irregular and discontinuous arc with its convex side towards the Red sea.3-Mtagabbroid rocks,in both area form small hills.
