Abstract
The major objective of the present work is to optimize formulation and establish appropriate comdition of rice starch to improve sizeability of cotton based textile. To achieve the goal of the work desingned to include the following studies: A- The major factors which affect the oxidation of rice starch and rice flour during the cooking process, which used for the preparation of sizing agents, will be studies B-Evaluation of resultant oxidized starches for carbony1 content, carboxy1 content and rheological properties. C-utilization of the so-obtained oxidized starches as sizing agents for cotton based yarns.
