Abstract
The aim of the present work was to :
1-Assess the seasonal incidence and infestation intensity of the long term feeder , tick larvae, attached to the domestic fowl as an economically important bird.
2- Carrying out a physical examination to identify the extent of the morphological changes induced by tick infestation on the host hens.
3- Evaluation of the progressive haematological changes as well as morphological Variants of the different types of blood cells achieved in the infested hens.
Resultsin table (1) revealed that out of 1224 examined hens , 198 (16.2% ) were infested with the fowl tick larvae argas presicus . Also, the table shows that larvae of argas presicus were detected on the infested hens with variable rates throughout the study period.
