Abstract
The north Egyptian lakes are considered as main source for fish production, about 50% of the total. Lake edku has a special importance between the north Egyptian lakes due to its location near Alexandria and its effective contribution to fish need for human population in Alexandria. Pollution sources in lake edku are present in Berzik and Edku-Bousily drains that contain trace and heavy elements causing changes in the properties and quality of aquatic environment of lake Edku. The present thesis entitled ”study of some chemical and physical changes of waters and sediments of lake Edku” comprises three chapters to show the environmental status of the lake Edku.
