Abstract
The aim of the present study is to evaluate and classify the soils of Minia governorate, which namely are Abu qourqas and mallawi districts taking in to consideration the variation in irrigation system water source and qualities.
Two main groups of soil characteristics were used in this study these groups are:
1- soil factors.
2- environmental factors.
A systematic soil survey was carried out fourty two soil profiles were morphologicaly described and sampled for chemical and physical analysis the environment factors are those surrounding also observed and described.
Irrigation water, drainage water and ground water samples were collected to study their quality.
Some informations were collected from the graduates, setters and agriculture organization in the studied areas for the economic analysis to determine the economic factors which are closely related to the crop production the farm income level was also determined. Also the relation between soil productivity and soil index were determined.
