Abstract This study was carried out in the soil science department of the faculty of agriculture, minia university to evaluate the effect of sewage sludge as a natural soil conditioner on some agronomic and nutritional aspects of the newly reclaimed sandy and sandy calcareous soils in EL- minia governorate. This study was designed to find out the possibilities of using this material for improving physical and chemical properties as well as fertility and productivity of the newly reclaimed soils. The used material was collected from waste drainage station of EL- minia city as air dried from. The two studied soils (sandy and sandy calcareous ) were treated with sewage sludge at seven rates of application (0,2,4,6,8,10 and 12%). Laboratory tests using soil columns were conducted to study the effect of sewage sludge on some physical properties. |
