Abstract
The present study was carried out at Shandaweel Agric.Res.Station Agric .Res .Center ,Ministry of Agriculture,Egypt,during the seasons 2000/01 and 2001/02 .The objective of this investigation was studies of efficiency of some weed control methods under different levels of nitrogen fertilizer in wheat and the effect of weeds,growth characters,yield, yield components and protein content in variety of Sohag-3.
Results revealed that increasing nitrogen levels increased the dry weight of grassy and broad-leaved weeds,growth characters (weight of stems, leaves and flag leaf area),yield,yield components and protein content.
weed control treaments gave decreased the dry weight of grassy and broad-leaved weeds and increased the growth characters (weight of stems,leaves and flag leaf area),yield,yield components and protein content .The best treatments were Topik at 100 cc/fed + Brominal at 1 L/fed and hand weeding thrice at 45,60 and 75 days after sowing
