Abstract
The study area lies in the offshore nile delta to the north of port said city within the northern eastern nile delta between longitudes 31o 50’ and 32o 54’ E and latitude 31o 25’ and 32o 00’ N. the study area includes three of the giants gas fields with in the nile delta called temsah, wakar and port fouad.
The generalized stratigraphic succession of the study area ranges in age from Miocene to recent. The penetrated section consists of thick clastic rocks.
The constructed cross-sections, structure contour maps and isopach maps illustrate that the temsah structure is represented by faulted anticline with its axis oriented northwest-southeast.
