Abstract
The present work is petrogical and geochemical studies as well as geochemical prospecting survey at the wadi hammad area. The study area (about 1030 Km2) lies between latitudes 27o00-27o26 N and logitudes 32o50-33o10 E. It represent a part of crystalline basement complex in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.Various types of mamatic rocks comprising metasediments and metavolcanics, metagabbro-diorite complex, older granites, dokhan volcanics, hammamat sediments, younger granite besides various dyke swarms are exposed within the area.
