Abstract
This work was carried out to predict buffalo cows transmitting ability for traits 305 days milk yield (305-MY), lactation period (LP) and age at first calving (AFC). Also the non-genetic factors affecting these traits in addition to estimating genetic and phenotypic parameters was investigated. The records were collected over a period of 28 years from 1967 to 1994. A total number of 4935 records representing 1268 buffalo cows sired by 178 bulls were used in this study.
