Abstract

- 154 -SUMMERY 7. SUMMARY The immune system acts to protect the host from infections agents that exist in the environment (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites) and from other noxious insults. The immune system is constantly active. The immune system has two functional divisions (the innate and the acquired). Both components involve various bloods - borne factors (complement, antibodies cytokines and cells This work aims to the Investigation of the hypoglycemic influence of fruits, vegetables, legumes and herbs, Evaluate some Egyptian herbs that may stimulate the immunity of diabetic rats, investigate the possible immunity support of some diseases such as diabetic and liver diseases Feeding of control (+) rats on diets containing Co-Q10 or Co-Q10 plus some botanical additives, known to support the immune system Suggestion of proper recommendations for supporting immunity of studied diseases All biological experimental were done at the faculty of Home economic- Monofiya University, Sheben El-kom . Rats (n=50 rats) were housed individually in wire cages in a room maintained at 25±2°C and kept under normal healthy conditions. All rats (50 rats) were fed on standard diet for one- week before starting the experiment for acclimatization. After one week period, the rats were divided into 13 groups (4 rats each), all groups were feed for 28 days on experimental diet as follows 155 SUMMERY Group (1): This group fed on standard diet only as a control negative healthy rats Group (2): This group fed on standard diet only as a control positive (rats with impaired liver Group (3): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% spinach+ 10 mg CoQ10 (formula A Group (4): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% nabk+ 10mg CoQ10 (formula B) Group (5): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% nabk leaves+ 10 mg CoQ10 (formula C Group (6): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% peanut+ 10mg CoQ10 (formula D Group (7): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% CoQ10 (formula E Group (8): This group fed on standard diet only as a control positive (rats with diabetes Group (9): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% spinach+10mg CoQ10 (formula a Group (10): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% nabk+10mg CoQ10 (formula b Group (11): This group fed on standard diet containing 10% nabk leaves+10mg CoQ10 (formula c 156 -SUMMERY Group (12): This group fed on standard containing 10% peanut+10mg CoQ10 (formula d Group (13): This group fed on standard containing 10% CoQ10 (formula e Blood sampling In all experimental groups, blood samples were collected. The blood was centrifuged for 10 minutes at 3000 pm to separate the serum ; serum was carefully aspirated into clean cuvette tube and stored frozen at -20° C for analysis. The organs (liver, heart, kidney, spleen and lungs) were removed cleaned, weighted and kept in buffered formalin solution (for histopathologicalexamination) .Specimens from (kidney, liver and heart were collected from studied rats by the end of experimental period Biological evaluations of the different diets were carried out by determination of body weight gain % (BMG %), food efficiency ratio (FER)< And relative organ weight. And the end analytical methods and Statistical analysis The results are summarized as the following 1) The effect of some foods with Co-Q10 on BWG, FI and FER of liver diseases in rat. The mean value of BWG that the value of formula D which was 80.18±4.31% was higher than to control positive 44.6±3.42%.and other treatment. As for FI the results showed that the mean value of formula C was nearly to control positive which was - 157 SUMMERY 18.5±1.66 when compared to control positive which was 18.8±2.54. The mean value of FER that the paired samples T.test did not show any significant differences 2) The effect of some foods with CoQ10 on initial and finial weight of liver disease in rat. The mean value of initial weight, the value of formula E was higher than control positive, by mean 266.3±13.05 when compared control positive which were 263.3±18.9. As for final weight the paired sample T. test did not show any significant differences 3) The effect of some foods with CoQ10 on the weight of liver, spleen lungs, heart and kidney of liver disease in rat. The mean value of organs weight results did not reveal any significant differences 4) The effect of some foods with Co-Q10 on serum ALT and AST of liver diseases, the mean value of Formula D which were 44.83±2.18< and 139.0±7.01 that best treatment, was high significantly more p<0.01) when compared to control positive which were 58.9±7.3 and 153.04±14.51 respectively 5) The effect of some foods with Co-Q10 on serum ALP, CREAT and URIC of liver diseases in rat. In the ALP, Formula E. was 94.66±5.99< mg/dI, that best treatment, was high significantly more (p<0.01) when compared to control positive which were 115.66±10.7 mg/dI. As for CREAT, the values of formula E, B, A that best treatment, were high significantly more (p<0.01) and more (p<0.05) which were 0.89±0.04,< 0.95±0.06, 0.99±0.07 mg/dI, when compared to control positive
- 158 -< SUMMERY which were 0.82±0.03 mg /dI respectively. As for URIC the values of formula E, B, A that best treatment, were high significantly more p<0.01) and more (p<0.05) which were 2.88±0.20, 2.95±0.26 and 3.18±0.30 mg/dI, when compared to control positive which were 3.56±0.46 mg /dI respectively >6) The effect of some foods with Co-Q10 on serum CHOL. T.G, HDL >LDL and vLDL of liver diseases in rat. The best of TC, TG, HDL LDL and vLDL levels were recorded for formula E which showed more than (p<0.01) by mean 110.33±6.21, 77.0±5.31, 52.66±3.00,
42.27±2.22 and 15.4±1.44 respectively, when compared to control positive which were 160.33±15.03, 92.33±9.45, 35.56±6.41,
106.31±9.44 and 18.46±2.22 respectively 7) The effect of some foods with Co-Q10 on IgG, IgM and IgA of liver diseases in rat. Again the increment of the immunity formula E is a result of use CoQ10 was higher than (p<0.01), in IgG, IgM and IgA Which were 1561.5±140.31, 229.33±18.9 and 421.18± 35.45< respectively, when compared to control positive which were
