Abstract Sinai peninsula occupies the far northeastern corner of Egypt. It has a triangular Shape covering an area of 61.000 Km2 about 6% of the total area of Egypt). It is situated between the two continents Africa and Asia, and it is bounded by the Suez Canal and Suez Gulf from the west, Gulf of Aqaba and the frontier border between Egypt and palestine from the east, the mediterranean Sea from the north, and the Red Sea from the South. Previous Work: Few studies have been published on the Bardawil lagoon. The recent studies will be briefly discussed. |
