Abstract This thesis comprises a pharmacognostical study of aegialophila pumila (Jusl.) Boiss.Which is a member of the tribe cynarae.a pumila is indigenous to Egypt and previously known as centaurea pumila.it is commonly used by the Bedouin against skin fungal infections. The genus cent urea is characterized by its content of catatonic sesquiterpene lactones (23).however no information is available in the literature concerning active constituents of Apulia. |
