Abstract
The first part
The first experiment: the first experiment in this investigation was conduced to study the effects of some growing mediai.e. peat moss+vermiculite peat moss+sawdust, peat moss + maize cabs,peat moss+ fine sand, sawdust + fine sand , maize cabs fine sand, peat moss+ sawdust +maize cabs + fine sand , peat moos + clay + fine sand and sawdust + clay +fine sand + maize cabs on seedling growth characters of two cucumber cultivar hybrids ’’ Amera ll’’ and ’’ Medina ’’.
The second part
Experiments were conducted to evaluate growth and yield of some cucumber hybrids i.e. ; Asna pass and ra and magdi in both early winter and early summer cultivation under plastic house conditions at El-Minia Governorate, Egypt.
